HELP WANTED
 
Film Curator Position
 
Film Curator with strong aesthetic vision sought by Collective: Unconscious in Tribeca. Curator will program a monthly series as part of the Collective for Loving Cinema series. Program will occur on one Monday a month from 7:30-10:30pm. Program will have a specific theme or serve specific constituencies, starting July 2008.

The current roster of programs in the series include: Kinetic Cinema (Dance on Film), Mix @ CU (LGBTQ focused films), Speakeasy Cinema (a talk-back focused screening), and Jewels and Gems from the Film Maker's Coop.  The new program to the series will join as the 2nd Monday of the Month and will begin in July 2008.

Curator will be paid a monthly fee for the programs through December 2009. The series is supported by C:U with marketing and technical services. Other Curator involvement will include assisting a film festival in 2009 along with the other series curators.

General Managment Intern
 

General Management Interns will:

  • Aid in contracting programming and venue rentals
  • Maintain internal/external calendars
  • Operate C:U’s online ticketing system
  • House Manage at least one show, monthly.
  • Assist in the implementation of a new C:U Archive with NYU’s Fales Library

Interns will be outgoing, highly interpersonal and well organized with keen attention to detail. Website experience, not needed, but graciously accepted! Interns will have the opportunity to work with artists who utilize the Venue and aid in programming and staffing. This is an ideal position for a future theater professional interested in general administration of a venue, producing new works, and box office management; as well as artists interested in producing their own works and learning HOW to produce!


COMPENSTATION:

Interns will receive free rehearsal space and discounted performance rates for the venue in return for their 10 hours weekly.
 
Web Marketing Intern 
 
Web Marketing Intern wills:
  • Assist in the development of marketing initiatives for programmed and rental events
  • Maintain website
  • Create and evolve weekly e-newsletter
  • Formulate increased opportunities to grow C:U's patron base
  • Work with General Manager and other Interns and web archive portion of C:U archive project
Interns will be outgoing, highly interpersonal and well organized with keen attention to detail. Website experience, not needed, but graciously accepted!
